This is really terrific.
'A beginners guide to giving a damn about climate change', it's intelligent, funny, engaging and very persuasive stuff.
(I was also going to say too, that it's very, very hip. But luckily managed to stop myself just in time.)
Beautifully animated and art directed, it also has some absolutely killer lines; 'Check your tyres monthly, to avoid embarrassment.' is a pearler, amongst a whole string of belters*.
So as you you can see, I like it. I like it a lot.
Conceived, created and crafted by Airside and Mother.
It shows.
ps. Call me old fashioned but I was surprised the was no link to a web site or something. But the whole film is actually one 7 minute long call to action I guess.
pps.
There's a pretty cool T-Shirt in the Airside shop. (I actually like the back as much as the front, I think 070707 is a pretty cool 'strapline'. And should become the de-facto tag for all YouTube, delicious and Flickr sets to do with the subject methinks.)
But wouldn't it be great if you could get T-Shirts based on some of the film's graphics?
Maybe somebody should be talking to Threadless or Howies? (No disrespect to the Airside shop, but the available T-Shirt buying traffic on Threadless is probably huge. So from a logistical point of view maybe it better to off-load merchandising to them?)
Maybe you could specify the YouTube screen time of a particular frame in the movie and get a T-Shirt design based on it? (You could even offer S/M/L/XL/XXL/Al Gore sizes. Cruel I know.)
Here's the ones I'd order:

So, genuinely, I will take heed of what this film advocates.
And will give a damn enough to get my old bike into the workshop to get it pimped up for action. (A firm commitment/promise, will do it today.)
And I've ordered me and the Mrs a couple Airside T-Shirts.
And I'll avoid embarrassment by keeping both my bike and gas-guzzling vehicle tyres correctly inflated.
And I will seriously and honestly consider trading my admittedly gas-guzzling car in for something more planet friendly.
And I'll....to fade...muttering about possible demise of penis substitute car.)
