i don't know which came first, but i read recently that Sao Paolo had decided to ban all advertising because the Mayor was sick of the visual pollution caused by the city's 8,000 banner sites (many of which were erected illegally).
Could anything be more Ad 2.0 than a spot whose beauty lies in the absence of what it is?
